Windows 7 Lasts Days

Windows 8 is quickly approaching and in some cases is around us as of right now.  With this being said, is Windows 7 be forgotten so soon? Was it just 2 to 3 years ago we were so excited to see something better than Windows Vista? Now are we even happy that Windows 7 is seeing its last days in retail stores as we are the rise to see Windows 8.
